Momentum with Intent: How BAND Strengthened Its UK Professional Services Offering in 2025

If I had to sum up 2025 at BAND in one word, it would be momentum.

Over the last 12 months, we completed four acquisitions and one merger, grew our team to around 65 people, and significantly strengthened the expertise and delivery capability we bring to clients.

But growth isn’t the story on its own.

The real story is why we grew — and what that means for the clients and sectors we support across the UK professional services market.

Growth, in a market that isn’t standing still

Let’s be honest: the UK professional services market is tough right now. Consolidation is reshaping the landscape, clients are facing more scrutiny than ever, and we’re only at the beginning of understanding the technological shifts transforming how work gets done.

That environment creates pressure — for clients and for firms like ours.

But it also creates opportunity for businesses willing to adaptinvest, and think beyond short-term wins. Because in a changing market, standing still isn’t an option. And growing without intent is just as risky.

Why we did the deals we did

Every acquisition and the merger we completed in 2025 came down to one clear principle:

Strengthen BAND’s ability to support clients in our core sectors with deeper expertise, sharper insight, and broader capability.

These moves weren’t about chasing scale for the sake of it. They were about alignment:

  • alignment of culture
  • alignment of capability
  • alignment of ambition

The result is a more connected, more capable BAND — better equipped to solve the routine challenges clients need handled quickly and confidently, and the complex ones that demand true specialist advisory.

Stronger delivery capability, joined-up expertise

As we’ve grown, we’ve been focused on building a business that can support clients across the full lifecycle — from day-to-day delivery through to big moments of change.

That means continuing to strengthen what we’re known for: advisory, accounting, tax, audit & assurance, strategic business planning, business management and people support — and making sure it all comes together in a way that feels seamless to clients.

People-first isn’t a tagline. It’s the foundation.

Internally, we also made deliberate moves around what underpins sustainable success.

As we look ahead, we’re building more clarity and purpose around:

  • wellbeing
  • career growth
  • culture
  • community impact

We’ve also established new leadership teams to reflect the business we’re becoming.

In a people-led advisory firm, this isn’t a “nice to have”. It’s foundational. High performance follows when people feel supportedchallenged, and aligned with a shared purpose.

Looking ahead: ambitious, but intentional

We’re ambitious about what comes next.

We want to keep growing. Keep investing in our core sectors. Keep expanding our delivery capability. And keep building BAND into a firm where clients feel confident trusting us with their biggest challenges — whether that’s navigating change, improving performance, planning strategically, or preparing for acquisition and sale.

But we’ll continue to do it with intent.

Because sustainable growth isn’t just about getting bigger. It’s about building something that lasts — a business where great people can do their best work, and clients feel the difference in every interaction.

I’m excited for the year ahead because BAND feels ready.

Ready to grow. Ready to lead. And ready to keep building — together. Get in touch.
